Did you remove the wiper motor or wiper arms as part of your LS swap in your 3rd gen Camaro or Firebird? Maybe you don't need wipers and washers in your strip or race car? Tired of having a hole in your firewall and tons of little holes in your cowl that ruin an otherwise show-ready car?
This block-off kit is for you. We've used laser scanners to custom make exact-fit plates that cover all of the holes left when you remove the wiper motor, wiper arm stubs, and washers/wiper parking stops, and gives your Camaro a sleek look. Once you install this blanking kit, you'll never have to look at the ugly, un-used hole in your firewall again!
This set includes multiple covers made from mill finish, shiny/polished-look 5052 aluminum that have been laser cut for a perfect fit that covers:
- the wiper motor hole on the firewall, mounted to the 3 existing bolt holes that are left when the motor is removed, using three included stainless bolts that match the plate. 82-83 cars: This plate is custom made to cover not only the hole itself but the entire area that the wiper hole mounted to including the reinforcing ribs stamped in the firewall, giving a nice clean look. Only 82-83 cars have a perfectly flat wiper area!
84-92 cars: Includes two plates: one for the "hole" on the wiper mount stand-off, and one that goes around the hole to cover the reinforcing ribs stamped in the firewall for a clean look. 84-92 cars have a "domed" wiper area and a 2-piece cover - the driver and passenger wiper arm mounting holes (which are often "key hole" shaped) that are left on the cowl when the wipers are removed, mounted with three included stainless bolts plus washers and nuts
- the driver and passenger wiper parking arm/spray nozzle holes that are left once the plastic, L-shaped sprayer nozzles are removed, mounted with a laser-cut rectangle washer and stainless bolt and nut
Easy to install, includes all mounting hardware so you don't have to find the hardware you probably lost when you removed the existing plates. The plates can be powder coated or painted to match your car, or left with a shiny mill finish that looks great. Made of aluminum with stainless hardware, this block-off kit won't rust and will likely outlast your car!
