This is a custom designed firewall blanking plate that replaces the heat/AC fan box in your 3rd gen Camaro or Firebird. If you race your car, or if you just don't need heat or AC, this plate will cover the ugly holes in the firewall that are left when you remove the fan unit to delete heat or A/C.

This plate was custom designed by me and is manufactured right here in North Carolina, USA. It's made of THICK 12 gauge 5052 aluminum which has been lightly polished. There may be some mill marks or faint scratches in the finish due to manufacturing and shipping, but these are ready to be installed as-is for a race car look, or powder coated, sprayed with rattle can engine enamel, or finished however you'd like.

The material is tough but can be drilled and fasteners attached; I mounted my Aeromotive fuel regulator and filter to the plate but it's also a perfect place to mount your aftermarket ECU, fuse box, etc.

The design is made to cover exactly the area that the heater fan box did - I made it by tracing the fan unit into CAD software and then laser cutting with an industrial laser cutter, so these should be easy to install without covering more of the firewall than your original heater did.

Note that this design does not extend to cover the heater core pipes themselves - I did that on purpose so that you don't need to cut or permanently damage your heater core (or tear your dash apart to remove it) to use this. If you'd like a version that has an extended "tab" on the right side to cover that hole, let me know and I can produce one.

Compare to competitors who are made in China out of thinner material and were designed by referencing photos - they cover WAY too much of the firewall and look like junk, and need to be ground down or modified to fit properly. I got so fed up with one of those cheap ones that I decided to make these.

Does not include fasteners, just reuse the ones that came with your car on the fan box.
